Instruction for SUMER Simulator 3.0  (96-NOV-06, dg)

Preparation for diffrent Maschines:
In DCL or login.com

LINAX1/2 (MPAe):

In UNIX(OSF) in .profile

To call the Simulation in IDL type:

tki_call,'[PATH]UDP_NAME.OBJ'

in this mode a pointing SunCenter (0,0) is done and the simulation starts

To simulate single SUMER CMDs before a UDP (point, compression,...)
call tki_call with a second parameter,

tki_call,'[PATH]UDP_NAME.OBJ', /inter

after a few moments the following prompt appears

now the following Commands are available for controlling the simulation:

  begin    -  This Cmd Marks the start of Study
  end      -  This Cmd Marks the end of Study
  search_p -  Search for Parameters in UDP
  /sim     -  Simulate the given UDP
  /cont    -  End Study Simulation Print Statistics
  /global  -  Print actual Global Parameter (only Screen)
  /file    -  Switch output to File
  /nofile  -  Switch output to File Off
  /debug   -  Output of all Messages - only Screen output
  /graph   -  Init Graphic Display and switch ON graphic Output (ONLY X-TERM)
  /nograph -  Switch OFF graphic Output
  /normal  -  Output to File only - Only Error Messages
  /lam     -  Print actual Settings for Wavelength and RefPix in Register
  /log     -  Output to File only - Error Messages and SCL Functions
  /nolog   -  Only Error Messages on Screen
  /token   -  The Output of Internal Token is switched on - to File or Screen
  /notoken -  The Output of Internal Token is switched off
  /scl     -  The Output of L34 LIB SCL Functions is switched on-to File or Screen
  /noscl   -  The Output of L34 LIB SCL Functions is switched off
  /getflag -  Print the Current Output State
  /screen  -  Output to Screen is switched on
  /noscreen-  Output to Screen is switched off
  /det X   -  Choose Detector (A or B is accepted, invalid Val is set to A)

and most of the level 3 and level 4 are available.
The Commands are case sensitive !

In this mode the simulation has to be started by commanding /sim.

The /cont Command leaves this mode and calls the statistic function.

The graphic output is send to a PS - file, if no X - Terminal is detected by the
program. If there is a X - Terminal, the graphic output can be displayed on screen
or send to a file for later printing.
