The IDL routines contributed by CHAE  are intended for :

 1. Interactive and Quick survey  of   SUMER fits files
                   and
 2. Quick Look and Primitive Analysis of the Data in SUMER fits files.



For the first purpose, run the IDL command :
   
    IDL > xselect_sumer

For the second purpose, run the IDL commnad :
   
    IDL > xraster, filename  (for a set of data saved in one file)
     
           or
     
    IDL > xraster_combine, file_list  (for a set of data saved in
                  more than one files)
 

The other IDL rountines are for  the above main routines. 
Most of them are made very specific so that their usage for
other programs is not advised.
