JOP154 Joint SOHO-GBO Campaign to Study Chromospheric and Photospheric Network Author(s): J.M.Krijger, P. Suetterlin, F. Bettonvil, R. Hammerschlag, R.Rutten Update History: Created 25/02/2002 Participating SOHO instruments, and other observatories: MDI, NSST, DOT,(TRACE) Scientific Objective: Determine the causal relation between photospheric (granulation and G-band bright point) flows and the chromospheric network. Scientific Justification There exist no both high resolution (.2 arcsec) and long temporal duration (> 1.5hr) observations in simultaneous CaII H (NSST,TRACE), G-band (DOT), G-Continuum (DOT, TRACE), combined with (MDI) magnetograms. Operational Considerations: Target selection determination only about 24h in advance Detailed Observing Sequences per Instrument: MDI - high res magnetograms, 30 sec cadence (TRACE - white light,1700,1600,1550, 30 sec cadence) DOT - G-band, G-continuum, 30 sec cadence NSST - CaII H, 30 sec cadence Proposed observation dates: 21/04/2002 (Sunday) till 03/05/2002 (Friday) between 9:00-12:00 UT EOF representative: MDI-team member tbd. (deputy Bernhard Kliem) TRACE cooperation still in negotiation NVST & DOT operation by P.Suetterlin, J.M.Krijger, R.Rutten Technical Support: R. Hammerschlag, F. Bettonvil
