Basic JOP activity : JOP 124 : (filament oscillations) requires observations of the same filament from disk to limb. Optimal duration : 15 hours. (EIT 304 sequential images would be very useful). JOP 177 : focused on : 1/ spicules located as close as possible to the Equator. Lbeta, O VI with SUMER. 2/ prominences Lbeta, OVI and Lc with SUMER. A sequence as long as 10 hours. JOP 180 : (Magnetic Fields and Flows to Corona/Transition Region) no POC present at MEDOC. Joint observations with VTT between 8-12 UT. Requires detector A/SUMER. Pointing coordinates provided by Luca Teriaca. JOP 158 : (The fast solar wind from 1.05 to 4 solar radii ) no POC present at MEDOC. Will start on May 20 with detector B/SUMER. Observations of filaments : no POC present at MEDOC. Uses detector B/SUMER during Week 2 but observations with A are scheduled on Week 1. Polar coronal hole : Laurent Dolla. Program to be run before and after JOP 158. Status of instruments : Karine Bocchialini and Philippe Lemaire reported on detectors issues. It has been agreed with SUMER PI that detector A will run until Friday 20 and from Wednesday 25 until the end of the Campaign. In-between, detector B Will run within the usual constraints (out-of-limb position). Status of the Sun : ------------------- Various targets for filaments/prominences. Coronal Holes well visible at both Poles. Planning : SUMER : JOP 124, 177 and 180 on 17, 18 and 19 May JOP 158 starts at 18.00 UT on May 20 CDS : SYNOPTIC (everyday, from  0:00 to 6:00 UT) JOP 124 (Filament/prominence, G. Pouget, 15h) ; coordination with SUMER JOP 158 (Polar Coronal Hole, A. Gabriel) from Friday 20 to Sunday 22, 18:00-24:00 UT max, coordination with SUMER and UVCS) Filament observations (B. Schmieder/P. Heinzel), coordination with SUMER, a few hours A few monitoring activities Mon 16 May : SUMER : Around 12. 00 UT submode change and SUMER ON 16.00 - 24.00 UT Filament/Prominence (Lyman lines) CDS : 00:00 - 06:30 Daily synoptic study 15.00 - 20.00 Filament/Prominence (Lyman lines) 20.00 - 24.00 GIS Meridian Study Next meeting : Monday 16 May at 11.00 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Planners for Week 20 (at MEDOC: medoc-cmp@medoc.medoc-ias.u-psud.fr): SOL Jean-Claude Vial CDS G.
