WEEKLY MEETING MINUTES for October 20-26 1. Announcements ------------------ None. 2. Operations Constraints --------------------------- - DSN schedule: Fairly regular, most contacts ending around 01:00 -01:30 UT. Only one gap in the long pass on Friday from: 14:10 - 16:35 UT. - Submode Switches: None planned. Will be in Submode #2 starting at 18 UT on Sunday, October 19 until the start of the MEDOC campaign on Monday, October 27. From initial DSN schedule on the WWW, it looks like the contact begins early so can probably switch submodes on Monday morning. SOC will wait until DSN schedule is more settled, and/or SOC will contact a DSN scheduler from FOT later today or Monday to see if time is likely to change much. 3. Coordinated operations for next week ---------------------------------------- There are no planned coordinated operations for next week since we will be in Submode 2 (LASCO/EIT High) during the week. (SUMER not observing). CDS - Will be in low rate and will perform some limb and coronal hole studies during the week. UVCS - Global Dynamics program continues on the West limb next week. Next Friday night they will skip their synoptic program and spend 33 hours scanning the South coronal hole. EIT - Will use the enhanced telemetry to take full-field full resolution 195 Angstrom images (3 every 32 minutes). LASCO - Will be taking either full field (~ 15 min cadence) or partial field (~ 2 minute cadence) polarization images in C2. Lika will decide later and will probably run a test of this on Monday before settling in to a schedule for the rest of the week. The polarization sequences will also be used for the Spartan flight in November. MDI - Will run a full disk magnetogram campaign for most of the week to complement EIT. However, if a promising active region target enters the high resolution field-of-view, may spend some time on a high resolution campaign.
