SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Wednesday 10 November 2004 ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * There is a JOP153 Major Flare Watch (#8000) on AR10696. * CNE network connectivity in and out of the gsfc.nasa.gov domain will be down on Wednesday from 6-7pm. * US Holiday on Thursday 11 November. There will be someone in the SOC office from 14-22 UT. There will not be a daily meeting on Thursday. * An upgrade to the soho-archive will be happening from 10am-noon on Saturday 13 November. Connectivity will intermittent during that time. * Note regarding limit sheets: Limit violations are only flagged to the FOT when the violation status changes (e.g. green->yellow, yellow->red, red->yellow, etc), or when the FOT software is restarted (which does not happen often). Thus, when a limit violation sheet is cancelled, and a limit is still violating, the limit will not be automatically flagged to the FOT. Keep this in mind when using limit violation sheets. If you request it, the FOT can go through all of the limits that have flagged to see if any of them are still violating. DAILY REPORT FROM MEDOC November 10, 2004 Announcements: -------------- - SUMER tests were done yesterday night because of some problems. It appeared it needs do be rebooted. This operation will be done today. No observations are made at the moment. If there will be enough time to complete all the on board procedures, the observations will start again at about 21:30UT today. - We are informed that CDS also had some problems in the past few days and it was rebooted the 8/11. The observations started again at 9 UT yesterday. - There may be the possibility that UVCS changes the schedule to include some Major Flare Watch, starting from tomorrow at 2:30 UT, reducing JOP 158 time. If this will be the case, also CDS and SUMER will modify the planning for this JOP. Because up to now no definitive decision has been taken, the CDS, SUMER and UVCS plans included here are still not modified.
