SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Wednesday 9 July 2003 ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * ESR recovery was completed on Tuesday 8 July, as was the planned 180 degree roll, the station keeping, and the momentum management (effects of the ESR were taken into account for both). We expect to be able to use the High Gain Antenna (HGA) on the 34 meter stations within the next few days (estimated to start some time tomorrow, but TBC). The HGA Y axis must first be repointed due to the 180 degree roll. * NOTE: We would like to have a common policy for SOHO fits files for the 180-degree rotated periods (they may cover 50% of the remaining mission lifetime). We ask that you DO NOT ROTATE the data in fits files - the rotation should be handled through standard fits keywords. More details will follow. * DSN for this week: Wednesday: D34 00:40 - 02:45 D54 09:30 - 14:40 Thursday: D54 14:30 - 17:25 D34 23:50 - 04:00 Friday: D54 13:20 - 17:20 D45 23:15 - 02:50 D/L only D46 00:05 - 02:50 Uplink Saturday: D34 02:30 - 04:50 D65 06:00 - 14:15 D/L only D66 06:00 - 14:15 Uplink D14 16:40 - 20:40 D/L only D16 16:40 - 20:40 Uplink Sunday: D45 00:20 - 05:40 D/L only D46 00:20 - 05:40 Uplink D54 07:25 - 10:40 D65 10:20 - 14:50 D/L only D66 10:20 - 14:50 Uplink D45 23:05 - 06:50 D/L only D46 23:05 - 06:50 Uplink * The 'nominal_roll_attitude.dat' file, found at: http://soho.nascom.nasa.gov/data/ancillary/attitude/roll/nominal_roll_attitude.dat ftp://sohoftp.nascom.nasa.gov/pub/data/ancillary/attitude/roll/nominal_roll_attitude.dat has been updated. Since the decision to go ahead with ESR recovery to the 180-degree position was made by the Program Office at about 9 am local time yesterday, the switch-over from nominal = 0 degrees to nominal = 180 degrees is set to '13:00:00'. (At that time, SOHO was not in the nominal roll position anyhow, due to the ESR). * Current RHESSI default target is AR10397. When selecting this target to maximize coordination w/others, use campaign number 6850. * Tour groups will be visiting the EOF on Thursday at 1pm and on Friday at 10:15am and 2:45pm. * A basewide network service outage for the gsfc.nasa.gov domain has been scheduled for the weekend commencing July 11th at 6:00 pm and ending at 12:00 midnight on Sunday July 13th. * EOF visitors on Tuesday 15 July at 8am.
