SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Monday, 15 July 2002
ANNOUNCEMENTS
-------------
* RHESSI target for today is AR 0030; target for tomorrow
is AR 0030.
* Today at noon, we will switch over soho-archive and soho-arch00
to the new filer, which will take soho-archive's IP address
(150.144.30.190) and name. There will be a period of approximately
one hour when the filer may be unavailable.
The root mount point on the new filer /vol/vol0/home, NOT /home.
Please change your mountpoints. If you are using the address
150.144.30.191, you may still use it. However 150.144.30.190 will
be the primary address.
As we transition from each old filer (soho-arch03, a.k.a.
soho0-arch01 and soho-arch02; soho-arch05; and soho-arch06) to the
new one over the next 1 - 2 weeks, we will announce similar
transition times and IP address changes or migrations.
soho-archive contains the SolarSoft tree, so there are likely
several workstations mounting it. Please be prepared to unmount any
filesystems from soho-archive you are mounting by noon Monday, and
please remount them at the old address after 1:00 PM.
The next machine to change will be soho-arch06.
During the switch from soho-archive and soho-arch00 over to the new
filer, sohoftp will be also unavailable for about one hour (or as
long as the changeover takes).
* Prof. Tyan Yeh from Boulder will give a set of 5 lectures on
The Dynamics of Flux Ropes in the Corona-Interplanetary Space
at Bldg 26, Rm G-10, at 11:00am on the following days:
Lecture 5 (July 18, Thursday): Equations for parameters that
characterize a flux rope
