ANNOUNCEMENTS
-------------
* Due to the recent unreliability of station D27, we recommend
commanding only on other stations.
* RHESSI target for today is AR 9945; target for tomorrow
is AR 9945.
* JOP104 target for today is AR 9940; target for tomorrow
is TBD - probably in the northwest; Saturday possibly going south
(at or south of the equator).
* Come celebrate the success of RHESSI, the first satellite named
for a Goddard scientist! Please join us at the Friday, May 17,
Scientific Colloquium, in the Goddard Building 8 Auditorium,
starting at 3:30 pm, for the following activities:
. Presentation to Mrs. Ramaty
. Colloquium by V. Ramanathan, "Aerosols and Climate - A Hazy
Future for the Blue Planet?"
. Reception for Mrs. Ramaty, the RHESSI Team, and Prof. Ramanathan
Coffee and tea will be served at 3:00 pm, courtesy of GEWA.
* Commanding times for next week:
Monday - Command on D66 until 16 UT then on D27.
Tuesday - Commanding is good all day.
Wedesday - Command on D66 until 16 UT then D/L only until 18 UT
then D16.
Thursday - Command on D66 until 16 UT then on D27.
Friday - Command on D66 until 16 UT then D/L only until 18:30 UT
then on D16.
Saturday - Command on D66 until 16 UT then on D27 until 20:30 UT
then on D34.
Sunday - Command on D27 all day.

pipe. Recoverable.
136/0608 2 minute TM dropout. D66. TM disabled at station due to line
overflow. Recoverable.
136/1113 16.25 minute TM dropout. D66. lost little pipe. Recoverable.

INSTRUMENT STATUS

CDS: Nominal. Coronal magnetometry and JOP104 for today and tomorrow.
SUMER: Nominal. JOP104 continues.
UVCS: Nominal. 24-hour synoptic with repeated scans in the north east.
Tomorrow: quadrature observations continue and mini-synoptic.
The SOHO-Sun-Ulysses quadrature occurs on Saturday 18 May.
LASCO: Nominal. C2/C3 synoptics.
EIT: Nominal. Half-resolution 195 CME watch and synoptic. Supporting
the coronal magnetometry study.
MDI: Nominal. Full disk magnetograms and dopplergrams for continuous
contact.
TRACE: Nominal. Observing AR9945 to support RHESSI in 195A and UV.
