Half resolution 195 Angstrom CME watch and synoptics. MDI: Nominal. Full disk magnetograms and dopplergrams, supporting AR moss study. TRACE: Nominal. Looking at AR 9672 for AR moss study with Sac Peak. MEDOC Daily meeting - Tuesday 23-October-2001 --------------------------------------------- Report of Monday's activities: SUMER slit movement to X=170" went ahead as scheduled and without any problems. X1 flare at 22/1759 from AR9672 was seen in EIT and caused a minor particle storm in LASCO and CDS data. A further M5-6 flare occurred at 23/0300. Daniella Cirigliano reported SUMER spectra for JOP 133 were good and showed interesting structure along the slit in most lines (CIII was shown). Alan Gabriel reported that the region in the northwest to be observed for JOP 130 was not ideal now since, with possible foreground or background material, it was neither streamer nor hole, but the planned observations will continue there. ---------- MEDOC detailed daily plan for Wednesday 24-Oct-2001 SUMER ----- Slit position is at X=170" JOP 133 01:00 - 04:00 On disk line profiles. (170",250") JOP 122 15:30 - 19:30 Heating blocks. (170",200") JOP 130 19:30 - 24:00 Streamer study (170",960"). CDS --- Synoptic 00:00 - 06:30 JOP 133 07:30 - 14:30 (170",250") JOP 122 15:30 - 19:30 (170",200") JOP 130 19:30 - 24:00 (170",1042") UVCS ---- JOP 130 program EIT --- Usual CME watch TRACE ----- Support requested for JOP 122 (coordinates sent to TRACE and BB), but with good weather at Sac Peak it seems likely they will continue to monitor AR9672.
