ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Wednesday although we will be out of DSN contact, there will be
possible NASCOM router interruption between 12 - 14 UT. The affects
the ECS connection with the CMS and IRTS. Therefore, remote teams
are asked to avoid ftp'ing delayed commands to the ECS between
12 - 14 UT ... as you may encounter problems getting validation
reports, etc.
* Tomorrow, switch to Submode 6 at 19:00 UT.

SOLAR STATUS

SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST (UPDATED 10 JULY AT 22 UT): SOLAR ACTIVITY IS
EXPECTED TO BE LOW TO MODERATE. REGIONS 9070 AND 9077 CONTINUE TO HAVE
THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE AN ISOLATED X-CLASS FLARE.
GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE
AT ACTIVE LEVELS THE FIRST DAY OF THE PERIOD. UNSETTLED TO ACTIVE
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THE SECOND AND THIRD DAY OF THE FORECAST PERIOD.

INSTRUMENT STATUS

CDS: Nominal. Today polarity reversal and sunspot studies.
Tomorrow, CME watch on West limb.
SUMER: Nominal. Observed target for JOP125 until 22:30 yesterday.
Since the NE prominence lifted off... switched to
another prominence in the south for today and tomorrow.
UVCS: Nominal. Continue Lyman-alpha and OVI ratio calibrations
Tomorrow, if suitable streamer target they will observe
else they will perform synoptic observations.
LASCO: Nominal. C2 and C3 synoptics.
EIT: Nominal. 195 Angstrom CME watch and synoptics.
MDI: Nominal. Full disk magnetograms and dopplergrams. Calibrations
later today.
TRACE: Nominal. Today, did JOP125 and observed AR 9077 most of the day.
Tomorrow, will do JOP125 and then either more active
region studies or perhaps begin filament observations.
