This will impact only equipment that is plugged into wall sockets. If you have equipment relying on UPS power backup from batteries that is plugged into the wall, it is recommended that you test it now to be sure the backup power takes over as needed. Upcoming Operations: None Ground Anomalies: 295/0845 CPA failure at D66. Lost 55 min of commanding time. Ranging not performed during entire support due to switch to s/c receiver #2. SOLAR STATUS ------------ SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST (Updated Oct. 21 at 22 UT): SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW TO MODERATE. REGIONS 8731 AND 8732 CONTINUE TO BE THE MOST LIKELY SOURCES FOR ENERGETIC FLARES. GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE UNSETTLED TO ACTIVE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE FOR SOME ENHANCED ACTIVITY DURING LOCAL NIGHTTIME HOURS. CONDITIONS SHOULD SUBSIDE A BIT ON THE SECOND DAY, BUT ANOTHER INCREASE IS ANTICIPATED ON THE THIRD DAY IN RESPONSE TO A FAVORABLY POSITIONED CORONAL HOLE.
