FOT REPORT ---------- Spacecraft Status: Nominal Spacecraft Anomalies: None Accomplished Activities: VIRGO, Extra VC2 Planned Activities: VIRGO, Nom HGA Table, Extra VC2 (1500-1700) Upcoming Operations: May 18 - Momentum Management (Hot B/U, 1345-1645) Ground Anomalies: 111/1906 - Dummy cmd failed; RCVR locked on sidelobe/sideband 111/2025 - Cmd lost during transmission (14-minute NRT pause) 111/2040 - Cmd echo block not received; Cmd successful 112/0651 - TM Dropout; TGC falure at D46 (1 minute, unrecoverable) SOLAR STATUS ------------ SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST: SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY LOW TO LOW. GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE AT QUIET TO UNSETTLED LEVELS THROUGH THE PERIOD. LASCO saw one significant CME from SW at 0200 UT in C2. EIT correspondingly saw opening of the field lines behind the SW limb. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Finished GIS testing. Then high cadence observations at AR 8518. SUMER: Not observing. UVCS: Nominal. CME watch at NNE followed by daily synoptics. LASCO: Nominal. C2 and C3 synoptics CME watch. EIT: Nominal. 195 A full disk, high resolution CME watch and 4 times synoptic at every wavelength. MDI: Nominal. Yesterday: ran non-magnetic campaign most of the time. Pre-load calibrations in the morning and software load in the afternoon. Then switched to magnetic campaign at 21:45 UT. Today: Post-load calibrations followed by magnetic dynamics. TRACE: AR 8518 watch.
