Excitor failure. 354/1934 Pocc String Crash 355/0340 Pocc String Crash SOLAR STATUS ------------ Friday - halo CME at 18:00 UT in C2 Saturday - transient dimming on disk, CME in SW at 17:30 in C2, CME in NE at 20:30 in C2 Sunday - on disk CME Monday - prominence eruption in S/SW limb at 04:12, C4 flare from region on east limb (8416) at 04:23 INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Weekend: east limb CME watch, quiet sun observations (energetic events), N & S coronal hole observations, full sun observations, testing studies for x-mas run. UVCS: Nominal. Preparing instrument for maneuver. After MM, CME watch and synoptic will resume. LASCO: Nominal. All 3 doors will be opened tonight after the burns. EIT: Nominal. Doing 2.5 min cadence for flat fielding while s/c is moving. Otherwise, 7 min cadence CME watch. MDI: Nominal. Observing both active region belts until AR 8415 gets into the high resolution field of view, then MDI may switch to high resolution field observations. Doing jitter test for momentum management
