9 APRIL 1998 SOHO DAILY MEETING MINUTES --------------------------------------- Announcements ------------- * The upgrade of soho-arch00 is apparently successful, though users who do not use automount may have to unmount and remount the mount points to get the served volumes online. At approximately 11:00 AM today, Thursday, 1998 April 9, we will implement the second phase of the upgrade and swap soho-archive as well. The IP addresses of soho-archive (150.144.30.190) and soho-arch00 (150.144.30.222) are not changing, only the hardware. Once again, if you have any concerns or problems, please let Joe Gurman know. * At 17:00 today all SOHO Project Scientists' computers (esa, ayalga, lion, spot, seal and ruda) will be stopped for upgrades of 'seal' and 'esa' to Solaris 2.6, etc. Inbound and outbound mail will be held until normal operations resume on Friday morning. Note: WWW and FTP access to SOHO data and information will not be affected.
