Unable to bring up another station before TM resumed (D17 in progress). No indications of S/C or Ground Segment failure at this time. SOLAR STATUS ------------ Very little activity, EIT shows large system of bright loops in the SE, and magnetic flux on the on-disk active regions seems to be simplifying. EIT also reports two prominence eruptions from backside of the sun seen around the S. Pole at 18:08 yesterday and 04:47 today. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- TRACE: Nominal. Turned on and all proceeding as expected MDI: Continuous contact continues. EIT: 304 program continues until Monday when 195 program resumes. LASCO: Nominal. UVCS: Nominal. Line profiles at 2.1 solar radii on NE streamer for Fe XII and Mg X line profiles. Tomorrow 3-4.5 solar radii for O VI profiles. CDS: Observing active region in SW for 8 hours looking for cool loops above the limb. Also, sunspot observations at disk center and above limb loop studies in S near coronal hole, and some engineering studies. This weekend, sunspot studies on SW and S Pole study SUMER: Not observing.
