Daily meeting minutes 9/26/97 Announcements: None FOT Report: Spacecraft Status: Nominal Spacecraft Anomalies: 268/1717 CEPAC ESU Data Request Error 268/2008 CDS MCP Current Violation (CIVMCP=7.03, Red High limit) Accomplished Activities: RSL, VIRGO, CELIAS, NOM HGA, TM SUBFORMAT 3 Test Planned Activities: RSL, VIRGO TM SUBFORMAT 2 Test (1500-1900), Switch to Subformat 6 SWAN, CELIAS (1910) Upcoming Operations: 9/26 - 9/29 TM Submode 6 9/29 -TR Maint/Memory Dumps 10/1 - TM Submode 6 for EIT Calibration rocket flt Ground Anomalies: 268/2105 S/W Anomalies during CDS NRT (13 min NRT pause) 269/0545 Resweep required for D46 ranging pass (4 min delay) 269/0604 D46 not configured for VC4 (SSR dump restarted) Stratus of the Sun: There is a nice filament channel in the NW as well as one in the active region in the nothern hemisphere. A weak/small event occurred around 03:00 UT from active region 8088, which is the more westward active region in the southern hemisphere. Instrument Status: CDS - nominal, ran fine throught he submode 3 test, ran minor ions in coronal holes, and the coronal hole campaign. For today, a run of JOP 12/17, minor ions in coronal holes, and coronal hole campaign. SUMER - nominal, after submode test, ran JOP 12/17 pointed at the NW filament, and extended the program of Lyman-alpha lines at the same location. Nothing during the weekend because the targets are not appropriate. UVCS - nominal, minor ions in coronal holes at 2.5 solar radii, in lines Lyman- alpha, H5, O6, and Mg10, will continue the campaign into the weekend & Monday. LASCO - nominal, no problems during submode test, will go idle prior to submode 2, and for the weekend plan on a high-cadence CME watch program. EIT - nominal, no problems during submode test, JOP 12/17 supported with 304 images. Today, during submode 2 test will run campaign on southern hemisphere with high cadence 195, 171 images. For weekend, a high cadence CME watch with full res 195 images. MDI - nominal, today high res magnetograms in the upper haldf of the high res field of view, and JOP 12/17 from 11:30 to 13:30. For weekend, can only support JOP 12/17 on Saturday, also mag movies campaign (alternating full disk and high res magnetograms at top 85% of field of view), During the weekend CDS will continue to observe the AR north near the central meridian. There will be full MDI support till Sunday (note that AR 8088 will not be in the MDI HR FOV). SUMER will be off and the TM will be given to EIT. In this mode, EIT can make high cadence images. pointing of AR N25 27 : central meridian 28 : W 11 29: W 24 Themis is operating in spectral mode.
