SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes June 16, 1997 FOT BRIEFING: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spacecraft Status: Nominal Anomaly Summary: 164/1742 OBDH Block no ack from RCVR Accomplished Activities: 164: RSL, VIRGO, CELIAS, VC2 TT, LOI Dump via TSTOL, ACU Patch Update 165: RSL, VIRGO, VC2 via TT, LOI Dump via TSTOL, Swan (2) 166: RSL, VIRGO, SWAN Planned Activities: RSL, VIRGO 1 July/0000: Leap second update Ground System Anomaly Summary: 164/1511: 3 min late AOS D24 data received from Outgoing Sta 166/0300: 0537 Degraded TM D42 167/0310: 0415 Degraded TM D42 167/0502: Lost lock RCVR2 D42 Resweep successful 167/0850: POCC string crash SOLAR STATUS: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Small CME from central AR over the weekend. Beautiful prominences on the NW limb. Indications of activity coming around the E limb. Three comets have been seen in the last week by LASCO: one of them belonging to the Kreutz sun-grazer family. INSTRUMENT STATUS: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LASCO: Extra narrow C2 obs., streamer belt evolution studies UVCS: Over the weekend looked at the Crab Nebula (faint), and Zeta-tau yesterday (strong). Today: performing star obs. EIT: Synoptic and CME Watch. Also today: supporting JOP060 with subfield FeXII images. MDI: JOP060. For the next 3 days, will be taking velocities in the top 2/3 of Hi-Res FOV for AR-8052. SUMER: This week will be running a Full Reference Spectrum of the deep outer corona (program developed by Klaus Wilhelm). Several positions mapped out to 7' with each position taking a full day to run. Interested in the comparison of emission inside the polar coronal hole to that just outside. CDS: JOP060. EISCAT study (solar wind measurements), prominence observations.
