SOHO DAILY PLANNING MEETING MINUTES - 1996 May 25 Notes: L. Strachan (UVCS) Chair: P. Martens 1. ANNOUNCEMENTS None. 2. FOT REPORT S/C nominal. There will be intermittent pauses in NRT today. The following telemetry dropouts occurred: 18:28 UT on 5/24/96 for 4 minutes (data not recoverable) 10:08 UT on 5/25/96 for 6 minutes (data not recoverable) DSN Schedule has been REVISED due to CLUSTER launch schedule (5/31 launch) 3. INSTRUMENT STATUS GOLF - Nominal. MDI - Nominal. Planned 5 min. data dumps twice per day. SUMER - Nominal. Made adjustments to Sun center pointing. CDS - Nominal. Will perform JOP 18 (3 hours) and make roll data dumps. UVCS - Nominal. Will observe 53 Tauri for cross calibration with SUMER. Flat-field was finished yesterday. Will do routine synoptic program. LASCO - Continue with synoptic program which is going well. EIT - Heaters still activated for detector outgassing. CELIAS - Nominal. CTOF will increase acceleration voltage. Summary data sets which will include kinetic temperatures and velocities for Fe and O will be put on the WWW. 4. COORDINATED OBSERVATIONS S. Habbal communicated that the VLA observations for next week will start at 14:30 UT on 1 June 1996 (and NOT at 16:30 as mentioned previously). JOP 18 will actually be looking at bright points since there are no large sunspots on the Sun at the moment. No new input from K. Harvey on BP campaign. 5. STATUS OF SOLAR ACTIVITY Yohkoh/SXT - shows very little activity Kitt Peak Magnetograms - no large bipolar regions 6. OTHER NOTES No meeting for Sunday. Next SOHO Daily meeting will be on Monday.
