April 25 Daily Meeting Minutes Annoucements: Maintenance of the air conditioning system will cause temperatures to be "pretty high" today in the EOF. Spacecraft: Nominal - Several ground anomalies occurred. These resulted in several losses of telemetry and/or NRT. 03:54 D42 dropped 2 way to 1-way: 6-10 minutes loss 05:02 lost 58 minutes of commanding 07:08 Commanding problem corrected after retransmission 08:19 Problem with D61 There has been some conflicts with POLAR and VC2 data which resulted in 5 minutes of corrupted data. There was one TPOCC string 1 crash at approximately 14:00. ECS was also stopped at that time to take care of event log files that had filled the disk space. INSTRUMENT STATUS: MDI: The 80-hour test is ongoing. A memory dump needs to be done to verify the upload of the flat field table via the background queue; "patches" will be necessary to correct uplink failures. SUMER: Nominal. Explosive event study. CDS: Preparing for JOP028. Moved legs for engineering study: abnormal temperatures were observed last night and the instrument had to be turned off. Planned coronal studies will not be done. EIT: Still waiting for LASCO s/w re-load. Several images were taken yesterday in support of JOP002. Most likely will not be able to support JOP020 at 22:00 today. LASCO: C2 and C3 are operating. Re-load of previous s/w version will be done today at start of continuous contact (2000 cmds, ~ 3 hours). Expect to go back to normal operations by tomorrow. SWAN: Observing around the Sun and tracking comet. Would like to do two 5 minute TSOL procs. UVCS: Continuing with Synoptic observations Schedule updates: - Intercal 002 Phase 2 will be postponed because of the absence of Eddie Breeveld. A new date will be coordinated between CDS and SUMER. - JOP028: A target on the East limb still needs to be chosen from more recent EIT pictures. A LASCO picture is also needed. Neither were available on the Image Tool today. AOB Art Poland stressed the fact that a planner from each instrument team needs to be present at the daily planning meeting and must be ready to support coordination of activities and target selections.
