Report on JOP9 status after Campaign 940 of week2-97 ---------------------------------------------------- for the attention of JOP9 team members and SOC --------------------------------------------- JOP9 was run from November 25 to December 1 1996 in conjonction with the GCT in Canaries Islands : see F. Paletou's report. For week 2, no constraint was put by GBOs but there were SOHO constraints: * for SUMER, door opening and meridian-only observations * for EIT, baking out until the end of the week We limited ourselves to filament studies which can combine SUMER and CDS. MDI provided magnetograms (FD are usually sufficient) for field extrapolation. CDS program : EJECT_V3 SUMER: Oscillations_in_OV...(some versions with dithering have been tried) MDI: FD or Hi_Res (on the 12th) EIT: Full Sun Observing dates: 8, 11, 12 January for about 7 hours each For 8 and 11 January, the target was hit as evidenced in He I 584 (CDS). Good statistics in most lines. No quick-look at 12 January data MDI and EIT always supportive Data analysis: To be done! Field extrapolation: Juan Fontenla is obtaining fine results on old data More observations? Wait for data analysis But I suggest to build some time a movie with CDS (MOVIE_V1) on a filament to see time evolution in the transition region filament-corona. An observing time of about 6 to 8 hours would be fantastic. Orsay, 23/1/97 j-c vial
