Subject: SOHO Activities for Day 336


-  SOHO Launch occurred at 08:08 (all times GMT).

-  The flight team has completed all nominally planned activities which were
planned for the first day except: adjustment of the OBT, GOLF Block 1and MDI
Block 1.1 commissioning activities.   These activities are being planned for
the second day, prior to MCC1.  The spacecraft is currently processing
medium rate telemetry through the high-gain antenna (HGA).

-  MCC1 is currently scheduled for 11:00 am on day 337.

-  UVCS thermal safeguard activities will occur after the completion of MCC1.

-  Shortly before the scheduled deployment of the HGA, the spacecraft
experienced a single-event upset (SEU) forcing the spacecraft to return to
IRU control from the star tracker.  The SEU was caused by the star tracker
losing the guide star.  A new star mapping was performed, with a new guide
star being selected, and the flight team continued with scheduled activities.

-  Detailed activities for  Day 336 included:

-  Launch,
-  Centaur coast and separation,
-  ISA/SAD sequence,
-  Post-SAD thermal procedures,
-  Post-SAD AOCS procedures,
-  Fine attitude control acquisition procedures,
-  Determination of the absolute roll attitude in low rate,
-  Start of IRU calibration one day prior to MCC1,
-  HGA deployment,
-  HGA activation,
-  Switch to medium rate,

-  Activities for Day 337 include:

-  OBT adjustment,
-  End of IRU calibration,
-  GOLF Block 1:  door closure verification,
-  MDI Block 1.1:  switch on DEP and start CCD bakeout,
-  Execution of pre-MCC1 sequence,
-  Preparation of HGA control during pre-MCC1 roll maneuver,
-  Execution of pre-MCC1 roll maneuver,
-  Return to new HGA nominal control table,
-  Execute X-segment burn,
-  Perform post delta-v commanding,
-  Determine absolute roll in MR/HR,
-  Ground processing and delta-v preparation,
-  Execute 2nd X-segment burn,
-  Perform post delta-v commanding,
-  Ground processing and delta-v preparation,
-  Execute 1st Z-segment burn,
-  Perform post-burn commanding,
-  Determine absolute roll in MR/HR,
-  Ground processing and delta-v preparation,
-  Execute 2nd Z-segment burn,
-  Perform post-burn commanding,
-  MDI Block 1.2:  thermal adjustments,
-  UVCS thermal safeguards.
