Daniel Müller received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2004. After that, he worked as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics in Oslo, Norway. In 2005, he joined the European Space Agency (ESA) to work as the SOHO Deputy Project Scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. His research interests include the dynamics of the solar corona and transition region, radiative transfer in magnetized plasmas and pattern recognition techniques.
